Abacus - Shopify synchronisation, dynamic payment methods according to product groups and daily updated delivery dates for forwarding deliveries.
By revising the synchronisation between Abacus and Shopify, not only has the speed and reliability been increased, but the flexibility of the exported data has also been enhanced through the introduction of dynamic data points. With automated category management, products can be categorised from the ERP into different categories in the shop system without manual effort.
To make the checkout process more secure, a dynamic system has been developed that only makes selected payment methods available if certain products are not in the shopping basket. For example, tobacco products cannot be purchased using payment methods that do not require a certain minimum age or are unable to verify this.
For deliveries with larger items that need to be delivered by a carrier, a solution was developed to calculate the possible delivery date, taking into account stock availability and suppliers' delivery dates. Via a customised checkout application for Shopify, customers can choose between possible delivery dates and different times and leave special delivery instructions.
